What happens when someone scans the Safety ID?

They'll see a clear emergency profile with the critical info you choose to share and the fastest way to reach emergency contacts. There's also an option to get and share the person's exact location.

How long does it take to set up?

Most can complete set up in minutes. We recommend a quick test once set up to be sure everything looks the way you want it to look. There's also a "preview" built into the software so you can see the info as you're updating it without needing to scan. We still recommend a quick scan at the end to have the confidence you included all the info you wanted to.

When should I place the Safety ID (also referred to as Scan ID)?

Start with high-visibility spots, like on lanyard cards, helmets or other places a sticker can easily be attached, quickly located in an emergency and consistent for the crew members. Many even put one on the back of their mobile phones since most carry them everywhere.

Is it complicated for crews to use?

No - scan and read the emergency profile. It's fast and simple, driven by QR codes (scannable on most newer mobile phone cameras).

Does it work without cell service?

Yes, it can work via WiFi or even satellite (iPhone 14 or newer uses StarLink satellite). As long as you have some type of connectivity, the text of the emergency profile will work - the picture of the person will not via satellite.
